Luckily there's no rain on the second day but it was kinda gloomy. So it was kinda difficulty to snap nice pictures on that day.We booked a local tour to tour around Phuket. The tour begin at 11:00am so we have a little time to check out Patong Beach which is just located nearby our resort.</div>

Kata Beach looks so much cleaner and the sand is smoother compare the Patong Beach. You will notice a lot of tourists likes to hang out at this beach. There is a nice Surf House just across the road where you can learn surfing. It looks quite interesting, might consider to give it a try in my next trip to Phuket.</div>

Big Buddha is one of the attraction here. The Buddha is Huge but still in progress in construction. I asked the tour guide how long more to complete this Buddha. The tour guide told us that it really depends on the donation from the visitors. If they can get sufficient fund definitely they can complete the construction faster. Just hope my next trip to Phuket this Big Buddha will be fully completed. </div>

Next the tour guide brought us to the Gem/Pearl factory. But to me is more like a gallery and part of the itenary they hope you will buy something there. Too bad we are not into Gem or Pearl, in fact we did request to skip it but he tour guide said they are not allow to skip the itenary.. so we just did a quite glance and off we go to our next destination which is the Aquarium. Aquarium Phuket is where we can discover many sea creatures, fishes. It was al-right but not the best aquarium i visited within this region.</div>

By the time the tour ended was about 6pm. We have to rush for our next trip with another tourist van to FantaSea. Luckily the van came to our hotel at 6:30pm which is just nice for us.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
FantaSea is a cultural theme park. We bought the tickets that we can enjoy the buffet dinner and to watch the cultural performance. it cost us about 1900Baht. Not really cheap but no harm just check it out. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
As the van will just drop us there, we have to queue to purchase the entrance ticket ourselves. I was assign to queue for the tickets. The ticketing area was really grand and the main colour is Gold. Look at the picture i took and u will know what i mean. </div>

We were so hungry and we do not want to miss our cultural show, we just had a quick look at the surrounding and head on the the buffet dining area. The place is really huge, it took us for a while to look for the restaurant. The dining place also give us a shock. It is really a huge dining place which i believe it can cater for one thousands of customer or more than that.</div>

Visitors are not allowed to bring camera and smartphone entering the cultural performance theatre. So too bad i can't share much about that with you. It is for you to find out when you get the chance to visit FantaSea. ^_^<br />

It was a short getaway just giving ourselves a break and enjoy the nice sea breeze. We were there during the Hari Raya Week in August. We were slightly unfortunate on the first day as it was raining from the time we step down to Phuket till late night.<br />
So ended up we have to carry the umbrella and walking around.<br />

Below was just our impromptu travel plan while we were in Phuket :<br />

Sekinchan is a small little town located in Selangor State, Malaysia. It is famous with its beautiful paddy fields (one of the main rice supplies in Malaysia) and it is also a fishing village. So many people like to travel to Sekinchan to buy freshly catch seafood.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
My friends and i planned a day trip just to visit this little town during one of the holiday. It is about 1.5 hours journey from Petaling Jaya, passing by Sungei Buloh, head on LATAR highway and all the way to Tanjung Karang before reaching Sekinchan. It is not difficult to find this place. Just follow the Kuala Selangor sign and you will not miss it. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Our first destination is to visit the paddy field. well us who didnt really do much homework, only realised that the paddy field is not as green as we expected. Because now is the planting season, all the paddy is still just a tiny little plant there. So for those who really wish to visit the green paddy fields, the best time to visit is March and September. The Harvest season is on June and December where the paddy fields are golden yellow colour. To have more details on the best time to visit Sekinchan, do visit this <a href="http://www.sekinchan.org/paddy-field-in-sekinchan.html" target="_blank">link</a>. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
For us , since we were already there so we still enjoy ourselves snapping a lot of pictures of the not so green paddy fields scenery. ^_^</div>

Next, we want to do some shopping before heading for our late lunch. They sell seafood, dry food, snacks and of course not forgetting Sekinchan rice.<br />

After shopping we asked the shop worker where we can have a nice seafood lunch. He recommended a restaurant called Ko Hua just opposite their place. We actually listen to his recommendation and give it a try. Unfortunately the food wasn't as good as what we expected. Not highly recommended by me that's for sure.<br />

We left the place around evening 6:30pm. On our journey back to Petaling Jaya before reaching LATAR highway, we saw this interesting stall - A Cendol Bakar Drive Thru stall. You can actually drive thru to buy their Cendol. Interesting! I will always thought only fast food chain with have drive thru concept. ^_^<br />

I do enjoy myself for this short trip though I didn't manage to see the green paddy fields. But it will be a good reason for me to return and pay a visit to Sekinchan again. For those who just want to leave the city and have a relaxing trip. Personally, I think Sekinchan is one of the good place you can consider. </div>

Myanmar , a country that i am not familiar of. I still remember when i got the cheap flight to Yangon via Air Asia, I was a bit stunned and thinking how is my travel plan should be. Not many backpack info i could find that time but luckily at least there are some handful and good ones i can refer to. Thank god! :P And i am going to be exploring Myanmar for 13 days! excited and worried too... really a mixed feelings. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Unlike other South East Asia, this is the only country that Malaysian still need to apply a visa to enter the country from Myanmar Embassy. The visa application takes approximately 5 days to get it done and it cost about RM80.00. As i am a lazy bum, i actually paid additional RM30.00 to get the travel agency nearby my office to get it done for me. :P</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Another headache part before entering Myanmar is getting the BRAND new US Dollar notes. I read a lot about them being very particular about the money. The notes must not be folded, stained and not even a little dot appear on the cash note. Never in my life that i have to check all the cash money i am bringing piece by piece just to ensure it is really BRAND NEW! *headache*</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In my travel plan, the first destination will be Yangon since that is the first city i will be landing in Myanmar. Right after will be Bagan, Inle Lake and lastly Mandalay. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In Yangon, the must visit place is the Shwedagon Pagoda. It is the biggest pagoda in Yangon and i was so fascinated with the architecture. The entrance ticket is USD5 for one whole day. This mean you can exit the temple and enter the it again within the same day. I actually went 2 times, one in the morning to look at the view during the day and second time in late evening to have a glance of the night view. Make sure you are wearing proper attire to enter all the pagodas in Myanmar. </div>

Apart from the pagodas, just spend some time walking around Yangon city checking out the place and the lifestyle of Yangon during the days. I get to find quite a number of interesting things to see. Pictures below will tell you all what i saw. :)<br />
<br />
Paying a USD1 taking a ride on Circular train from their train station at platform 7 is also a nice way to checkout the surrounding of Yangon. But this will take you 3 hours to complete the ride as it really goes around Yangon and return back to Yangon main train station where your journey begin.<br />

Night Life in Myanmar is not really that fantastic. You can't really find much pubs and bars around. I found a little beer garden nearby Ocean Pearl Inn Hotel; had some snacks and local beer with some travellers I met there. But you can't hang out too long as they closed at 11p.m. Anyway I always tell myself, it is better than nothing at all. :P<br />

The last time i travelled to Cameron Highlands was 2 years ago with my family. This round i went with my bunch of crazy and funny friends mixture of Malaysian, Indonesian and Filipino.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
We depart from Kuala Lumpur early morning around 8am. Driving along North South highway heading up North. We stopped at Tapah rest area for a short toilet break after about 2 hours drive. Many travellers like to stop here to buy the famous local fruits - seedless Guava and Rose Apple ( Jambu Air in Malay). There's quite a number of stores that sell only these 2 types of fruits at the Tapah rest area. The price is reasonable. So we bought some and enjoy it before continuing our journey to Cameron Highlands.We heading up to Cameron Highlands from Simpang Pulai tol as the road is not so winding.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
We rented an 3 rooms apartment in the area between Tanah Rata and Brinchang called Desa Antharium for RM220 per night. Not bad but the only thing is we need to do some workout as the unit we rented is at 4th floor with no lift. :P</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
After checked in to our apartment, we just give ourselves a short break, hanging out in the apartment before heading to Brinchang for our lunch. At Brinchang, there are quite a number of restaurants to choose. We just simply picked one as we were kinda hungry already. We ordered fried oyster mushrooms, stir fried paku plant and a omelette. 3 dishes shared by 5 of us. Not really many dishes as we want to reserve some space in our tummy for other foodies. :P Total cost per pax for this meal was about RM10 (with Chinese tea served).</div>

Our next mission is to visit the Sg. Palas BOH Tea Centre. Very beautiful landscape. Many people just love to come here order a pot of tea sitting in the cafe, chit chat and enjoy the beauty of this place.It also has a tea shop where you can purchase all sorts of tea. When you walk further down, you will get to visit their visitors centre. Here they showcase all the equipment and tools used to process tea leaves. It also has a video room where you can watch the documentary of the history of BOH and its tea leaves process.<br />

Along the way heading down to Brinchang town, we stopped by at Cactus Point checking out the plants they are selling there - mostly cactus and they are really "adorable". :) Before we heading for dinner, we decided to drop by Smoke House just to check out the place. Smoke House with the feel of British colonial style ambience is a hotel and restaurant. If you love such environment no harm to have a cup of tea and scones just to give own self a break.</div>

What to have for dinner in Cameron Highlands? In such a cooling place, of course steamboat is the choice to go!! There are many steamboat restaurant around Brinchang town and the price is reasonable. You can enjoy a steamboat meal for less than RM20 per pax. After our meal we went to the night market have a walk and checkout what they sell. just before we want to leave the place, we passed by this cafe called Strawberry Moment. We were so tempted with their dessert and decided to order some to try. I love the Opera Cake, it is so delicious. Their Strawberry salad also yummy too if you are looking for something light. The next time I come here I think I would want to try the chocolate fondue. </div>

The 2nd Day after our breakfast in a mamak restaurant at Tanah Rata, we heading up hill again to Tringkap to visit Rose Valley. The entrance ticket is RM5, quite a reasonable fee. This is a huge garden where they plant a lot of roses and other type of flora. We took a lot of pictures because the place is just so colourful. Outside the Rose Valley entrance, there are some stall selling souvenirs, vegetables, and finger food. We saw a stall selling steam tapioca and it just look so good, we cannot resist and bought some to try.<br />

The one thing that i always want to try is the scones in Cameron Highlands. We went to Raju's Hill which is just across Equatorial Hotel. They are one of the places in Cameron Highlands that serves good scones. Without looking at the menu, straight i already order the scones set. The set comes with 2 scones and tea.<br />
<br />
Well after enjoying our morning tea break, its time to heading down back to KL. We stopped by 2 places taking some pictures before continue our journey back to KL - Cameron Valley and Lata Iskandar waterfall. Cameron Valley is another tea plantation. Another place where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of tea plantation. Lata Iskandar waterfall is one of the famous waterfall when you use Tapah way to go or leave Cameron Highlands. Overall the trip was a relaxing one, the most importantly is I get to enjoy the fun moment with my friends. I will be travelling to Cameron Highlands again in October but this round will be with my family. stay tuned with my updates! :)<br />

The next day we will be taking the morning flight return to Kuala Lumpur.<br />
<br />
We woke up at 9++am , took our rented bike and heading somewhere nearby the Chiang Mai University for our brunch. I read in Nancy Chandler's map wrote that you can find nice and cheap food nearby the university. We went 2 round on the same street and finally choose one of the decent local restaurant for our meal.<br />

Well the zoo is </span><span style="text-align: justify;">al-right</span><span style="text-align: justify;"> but i wont said anything fantastic. The only special animal you get to see i guess is the panda. I'd been to Taronga Zoo just 6 months ago, so i guess i tend to compare Chiang Mai Zoo with Taronga Zoo in Sydney. I would think if you only have little time to spend in Chiang Mai, i guess you can skip this.</span></div>

Since this is our last night in Chiang Mai, we were thinking to have a more luxurious place for good Thai food. We went to this restaurant called The Riverside which is recommended by the our River Cruise tour guide. The Riverside it has 2 part. Along the Ping river it is a pub where you can enjoy live band there. Trust me if you love loud music and party. This is one of the recommended place. But for us we want food. so we went to the one across the street. Here the ambience is very different, it is more for dining. It has live band as well, but playing different type of songs. The food was great, we love it so much and the price is reasonable - highly recommended by me! :P</div>

Very interesting temple, a must visit temple if you want to visit Chiang Rai. Their toilet also very impressive. The toilet building is painted entirely in Gold. It look so awesome and i never thought it is a toilet.</div>

We hang around the place for about an hour and back to the Wat Mongkol jetty. The entire Cruise took us about 3 to 4 hours time. It was quite a relax one but the river cruise can be a bit boring and in fact we felt asleep on the way return back to the jetty. After the cruise, we just took a bike ride and explore the area near by. </div>

It's been a long time i so wanted to travel to Chiang Mai, Thailand. I bought a promo flight from Air Asia to Chiang Mai and finally i flew to Chiang Mai exactly on my Birthday in March 2012. ( It was my birthday gift for my own self :P )</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
My friend and I , just the two of us first time travelling to Chiang Mai, have no idea where exactly we want to go. I just did a simple research getting to know a little bit more about Chiang Mai and that's all. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It was a 5 days 4 nights trip to Chiang Mai. We arrived at the Airport in the morning and the first thing we did was finding a taxi to the guest house we have booked before our trip. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The Guest House we were staying for our entire trip is called All in 1 Guest House. Very interesting name and indeed a lovely and cosy guest house. This guest house is ideally located in the heart of the Chiang Mai old city. Very near to all the night bazaar and markets. It cost about 695THB for twin sharing room with AC. The room is clean and cosy and the staff are very friendly and helpful too. Highly recommended by me! ^_^</div>

We rented a motorbike from the guest house which cost only 200THB per day and start touring around the town. We got a map from the guest house and the staff gave some recommendations where we should visit so there we go listen to the advise and our destination began.<br />
<br />
Our first destination in fact was actually hunting for food. We had yet to have our very first meal of the day after landing Chiang Mai. I know there is a famous noodle called Khao Soi, which i wanted to give it a try. We saw a little eatery shop and they served Khao Soi,so we just stopped and took our meal there. I quite like this fried noodle and the gravy was yummy too.<br />

Next to Wat Phan Tao is Wat Chedi Luang. Wat Chedi Luang is one of the historical Buddhist temple. The front you will see a modern built temple facing the main road. when you walk to the back of the modern temple , there is where you will see the ancient structure building that is still maintained there. I couldn't really remember the history behind but i am sure you will be able to search from the internet knowing more about this temple. Here i am just sharing with you some of the pictures taken by myself showing the architecture of the ancient building.( but of course it is not as great or as big as Angkor Wat in Siem Reap or Borobudur in Yogyakarta)</div>

The next temple we visited is about 5 mins bike ride away from Wat Chedi Luang - Wat Pra Singh.<br />
Wat Pra Singh is about 700 years old and was constructed by King Phayoo of Mengrai Dynasty.<br />

Wat Chiang Man was the last temple we visited. This is another temple at the other end of the Chiang Mai Old City but very near to the guest house we stayed. This made our last destination of temple visit and give ourselves a good rest before heading to the Night Market Bazaar for dinner.<br />

Well since it was my birthday, my friend promised to treat me a good dinner, so we did some survey on all the brochures we got either from the airport or from the guest house. Finally we decided to try this western restaurant near the Night Market Bazaar called The Duke's Grill & Bar. Please take note, if you are a small eater, please share the food, the portion is really big. Both of us were having hard time to finish the food but overall the food is really yummy! worth to try! </div>

Since we were so full after a super heavy dinner, we decided to take a walk at the night market. There are all sorts of things selling in the market: Clothing, handicrafts, leather items, souvenirs etc..<br />
